This body of work represents an effort
to push the boundaries between
photography, sculpture and architecture;
to challenge the two dimensionality
associated with traditional photography.
The architectural housings were built
around the pictorial elements in the
photographs over a two year period.
The varied surfaces have a painterly
quality that reflects the level of distress
and even the chemical composition of
many of the building materials depicted
in the photographs. This slurring of fact
and fiction, the real and the implied, the
2D and 3D is something that I continue
to explore in my work.
